NOTES:
1) Sundays (not Saturdays) denote the weekends of
the month. Above in the first column Dec
31 & Jan 1 is a 1st weekend because Jan 1 is the first Sunday. Ditto for
Mar 31-Apr 1 and Jun 30-Jul 1.
2) 5th weekends are distributed fairly across the
serving teams & are highlighted in purple in the table above. Those serving 1st weekends serve the first
5th weekend in the ministry year. (A ministry year runs Sep-Aug.) Those
serving 2nd weekends serve the second 5th weekend. Those serving 3rd weekends serve
the third
5th weekend, and, those who serve 4th weekends
serve the fourth 5th weekend.
Notice that on these occasions, you may serve two weekends in a row, or,
you are off two weekends in a row. Please mark your calendars and plan
accordingly so that KidzCrossing will be adequately
staffed.
4) Absences.
Inform
your Kidz Staff Room Coordinator in a timely manner of any scheduling
changes. Children need consistent
leadership to feel emotionally safe and to build relationships in which life
change can occur. Please make every
effort to serve when scheduled. If you
do not serve weekly you are expected to either 1) swap weekends with a
volunteer who serves opposite you, or 2) call others who serve in the same age
division & role to find a sub, or 3) fill a staffing need when you can
serve. If you serve weekly, please give your Kidz Staff Room Coordinator
ample time to find your sub. We understand that last-minute, extenuating
circumstances do occur and may prevent you from serving. At such times a
phone call, a text message or an email would be very much appreciated.
5) Summer
months. If you serve weekly
September thru May, please inform your Kidz Staff Room Coordinator if you need
time off during the summer. Otherwise,
you will still be scheduled to serve during the summer months. If you serve less than weekly, you continue
to serve during the summer months on your regularly scheduled weekends. To cover your summer vacation absences, refer
to #4 above. In a timely manner, please
inform your Kidz Staff Room Coordinator of any scheduling changes.
